This Camp is for students that are already familiar with Ableton and know all the basics of MIDI Programming & Recording in Ableton . This camp takes place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 5 hours: 11am-4pm each day with a 30 min break. See Additional Info for comprehensive overview and computer requirements.
Course Description: The Ableton Live Advanced Course Level 2 Camp is designed to provide instruction in more advanced production, mixing, and workflow techniques within Ableton Live.

Advanced Workflow Optimization:
Customizing the Ableton Live interface for efficient navigation
Creating and using personalized templates
Advanced keyboard shortcuts and workflow techniques
Utilizing racks, macros, and instrument/chains for streamlined production
Advanced Audio Editing and Manipulation:
Advanced audio warping and time-stretching techniques
Complex audio slicing and rearrangement
Creative audio effects processing and modulation
Utilizing Max for Live devices for advanced audio manipulation
Advanced MIDI Programming:
Advanced MIDI editing techniques
Creative MIDI manipulation and generation
Advanced use of MIDI effects and devices
Creating intricate MIDI patterns and sequences
Advanced Sound Design:
In-depth synthesis techniques using Ableton's instruments (e.g., Operator, Wavetable)
Creating custom instrument racks and multi-layered sounds
Sampling and resampling techniques for unique sound creation
Advanced modulation and automation of sound parameters
Advanced Mixing and Mastering:
Advanced audio routing and grouping techniques
In-depth understanding of EQ, compression, and other mixing tools
Advanced spatial effects and techniques (reverb, delay, etc.)
Mastering techniques for achieving professional-quality results
Live Performance and Improvisation:
Creating and manipulating Live Sets for live performances
Advanced use of MIDI controllers and automation for live control
Incorporating hardware instruments and effects into performances
Techniques for improvisation and live arrangement
Collaborative Workflows and Remixing:
Collaboration techniques using Ableton's Live Packs and project sharing
Remixing techniques and approaches
Utilizing Ableton's audio-to-MIDI conversion for remixing and sampling
Integrating Ableton Live with other DAWs and external hardware
Feedback and guidance on the final project
Course Requirements:
A computer with Ableton Live installed (free trial or full version)
Basic understanding of music theory (recommended but not required)
Headphones monitoring audio
Access to the internet at home for course materials and resources
By the end of this course, you will have gained a solid foundation in using Ableton Live for music production and performance. You'll be able to confidently create your own tracks, manipulate sounds, and understand the core concepts and techniques used in Ableton Live.
